Dr. Rifkin earned a medical degree, with honors, at the University of Colorado Denver. His research focuses on multiple myeloma with an emphasis on novel drug development, disease-specific registries and health economics and outcomes in myeloma. He is cofounder of the Stem Cell Transplant Program at the University of Arizona, and serves as a consultant for the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy, and as a co-chair (multiple myeloma disease lead) for the US Oncology Hematology Research Committee. He is a member of the executive Board of Directors for the National Patient Advocate Foundation. While at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Dr. Rifkin was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and recipient of the Gold-Headed Cane Award, given for outstanding future promise as a physician. Among his other honors are the National Marrow Donor Program Trailblazer Award and multiple selections to the America’s Top Physicians list.

Dr. Rifkin currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver, Attending Physician at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Denver, Colorado and as Medical Director of Biosimilars for McKesson. He is the author of numerous articles, book chapters, and abstracts.
