Nina K. Chavez, MBA, FACMPE is the Chief Operating Officer of New Mexico Oncology Hematology Consultants, Ltd. (NMOHC) that operates the New Mexico Cancer Center (NMCC) at its flagship Albuquerque practice location and at its center in Gallup, New Mexico. Nina has grown with NMOHC as it too has grown over the past 14 years since her hiring in 2004 as Human Resources Manager through to her current position as Chief Operating Officer – second in command to Dr. Barbara L. McAneny, CEO and Founder. Nina oversees and facilitates the daily operations of both NMCC centers and works to ensure that the 180 total physicians and staff members provide the most compassionate and comprehensive patient-centered cancer care available throughout New Mexico. Through Nina’s leadership, NMOHC has earned the distinction of being the first in the nation NCQA certified Level 3 Oncology Medical Home, and the only one in the state of New Mexico.
