Dr. Wayne Ormsby completed undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. He next attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Following medical school he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester. During his residency he was awarded the William L. Morgan outstanding Internal Medicine resident award and selected to serve as a Chief Resident. After serving as a Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the University of Rochester he completed his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Following fellowship he joined the Williamette Valley Cancer Institute in Eugene, Oregon. In 2016 he and his family moved home to Utah where he now practices with Utah Cancer Specialists. Dr. Ormsby enjoys a diverse community oncology practice, but has particular interest in hematologic malignancies including multiple myeloma and lymphoma.
