Paul Daeninck is a medical oncologist and palliative medicine consultant with CancerCare Manitoba and the Winnipeg Regional Palliative Care Program. He is the Chair of the Symptom Management and Palliative Care Disease Site at CancerCare Manitoba and an Assistant Professor at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. He has worked in the cannabis and cannabinoid space for close to 20 years, and is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids (CCIC). He has authored or co-authored several research papers as well as textbook chapters and serves as a reviewer for oncology and palliative medicine journals. He is active in medical student and resident education, as well as engaged in multidisciplinary continuing professional education in the area of cannabinoid-based medicine. His research interests include several aspects of palliative medicine, including that of cannabinoid use in patients with advanced malignancies.
