Cara Mathews, MD, is currently a board certified gynecologic oncologist at Women & Infants Hospital of RI and an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Mathews is a graduate of Dartmouth College's Medical School in 2005, completed her ObGyn residency at Women & Infants Hospital in 2009 and a Gyn Oncology Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma in 2012. She is very involved in clinical research and in 2015 earned a national Young Investigator Award from the Gynecologic Oncology Group for her project "Survival in Advanced Endometrial Cancer: Does Time to Chemotherapy Initiation Matter?"
Dr. Mathews has continued her strong interest in clinical research with her enthusiastic involvement in numerous NRG/GOG trials over the last six years.
Dr. Mathews’ personal interests include traveling and spending time with her family.
