Stephanie Broadnax Broussard is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S), Certified Advanced Palliative and Hospice Social Worker (APHSW-C) and a Certified Advanced Care Planning Facilitator and Trainer. Stephanie is the Director of Palliative Care and Social Work at Texas Oncology. A proud Louisiana native, she is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and continued to the University of Texas at Arlington, where she received her Master’s degree. Stephanie has spent her Social Work Career providing direct patient care as well as developing programing to increase access to care for the seriously ill for the home, community and clinic settings. A commitment to access to equitable healthcare and social justice are driving forces for her work. A passionate advocate, Stephanie is a servant leader in her community. She currently serves as the Social Work representative on the State of Texas Palliative Care Advisory council. Stephanie is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., founding member of Women In Power Empowering, the first grass roots Philanthropic organization founded by Black women serving Tarrant County. Stephanie serves on the board of directors of Coalition for Quality End of Life Care (Care and Prepare), as well as the African American Advisory Council for the Alzheimer’s Association. Stephanie also serves to help educate communities on the importance of Advance Care Planning as a Certified Advance Care Planning Facilitator and Trainer. Although proud of her professional accolades, Stephanie’s most notable roles are being the Wife and Mother to the “Broussard Boys.”
