Maurice Alexander is a Clinical Manager of Hematology/Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Services at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC. He is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Education at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his undergraduate studies and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Hematology/Oncology residency training at UNC Medical Center. His experience includes practicing as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner in Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy at UNC Medical Center where he helped to establish services for CAR T-cell therapy. Maurice has been an active leader in the American Society of Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT) and the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA). He has served as Chair of the ASTCT Pharmacy Special Interest Group Steering Committee, and he is currently the Chair of HOPA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce. He is a Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist with interests that include cellular therapy and clinical practice patterns throughout cancer care.
