Dr. Lavasani is a breast medical oncologist and an assistant professor at the department of medical oncology and Therapeutics research at City of Hope National Cancer Institute in Duarte, California.
She did her postgraduate training in internal medicine and medical oncology in Ontario, Canada; following that she did a breast cancer fellowship and Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Healthcare Research at University of Toronto. She has more than 10 years of experience as a breast medical oncologist
Her main focus and area of research is HER2 positive breast cancers for which she is the PI of multiple national and international studies. She has multiple publications in oncology.
