Dr. Christopher Elder, PharmD, BCOP is currently Associate Director of Pharmacy Clinical Services at Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute. Dr. Elder completed his undergraduate work with a B.S. degree in Biology/Chemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, followed by completing his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah, Georgia. With a strong passion for patient care and clinical pharmacy, Dr. Elder completed both a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency and a PGY-2 hematology/oncology residency at Cone Health in Greensboro, NC. He is board-certified in oncology pharmacy by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. His areas of expertise and research interests include patient education, supportive care, patient safety, and immuno-oncology. Dr. Elder has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has created and delivered content related to oncology supportive care for ACCP’s Pharmacotherapy Board Certification/Recertification Prep Course. He also continues to serve in leadership roles on various committees with FLASCO and NCODA.
