Updates in ITP: From Avatrombopag to SYK

Description: Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an ever-evolving treatment landscape. Many of the agents used in the modern management of ITP require significant patient counseling considerations and ongoing dose titration, making it an ideal disease state for pharmacist intervention. This session will explore the latest international guideline recommendations, review key clinical trials, and summarize patient-specific education and considerations that go into the day-to-day management of ITP. Attendees will walk away with an enriched understanding of ITP management and the clinical skills necessary to meaningfully care for these patients in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings.
