Dr. Holli Dilks is a Sr. Director and the Global Head of Field Medical for Foundation Medicine’s (FMI) Medical Affairs group who is dedicated to building alliances between scientific and medical communities and blazing trails to educate physicians on the value of personalized medicine. She joined FMI in 2019 to develop and enhance key health care provider relationships by initiating and sustaining exchanges of scientific information between customers and internal teams.

Dr. Dilks has ten years of experience working on the frontlines to build and lead dedicated teams of scientists and clinical researchers in the delivery of large-scale research platforms for globally recognized nonprofit healthcare and biomedical research institutions. Prior to joining FMI, she served as Director of Personalized Medicine Operations for Nashville’s Sarah Cannon Research Institute from 2014 to 2019. Her leadership yielded novel discovery and application of molecular data analysis and genomics profiling technologies to better identify effective treatment options for patients suffering from cancer.

Previously, she worked at Vanderbilt University’s Medical Center (VUMC) as Technical Director of the VANTAGE Program and as Director of Core Resources, and Assistant Professor. During her tenure at VUMC, Dr. Dilks helped to position the DNA resources core as a leader in large-scale genomic data aggregation. Her ability to distill and communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences has been honed through teaching graduate students at Lipscomb University’s College of Pharmacy from 2008-2019.

Dr. Dilks has co-authored more than 35 peer-reviewed publications and has been an invited speaker on many occasions. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in biology with magna cum laude distinction from Lipscomb University in Nashville and holds a Ph.D. in molecular physiology and biophysics from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She also performed her postdoctoral Cancer Research Training Award fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) where she also served as a visiting scientist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
