Chara Reid is pharmacist for DuPage Medical Group. She started her pharmacy career in 1993, while in high school, at Walgreens. She worked at Walgreens as a pharmacy technician, pharmacy intern and pharmacy manager until 2013. She then went to work for an independent chain, Doc’s Drugs at their specialty pharmacy hub. In December or 2015, she went to Dupage Medical Group. There she grew the specialty pharmacy from supporting 3 departments to 8 departments. She was promoted to Pharmacy Manager in 2017 to manage the 3 retail pharmacy locations. In 2018, she was promoted to Manager of Pharmacy Services which included oversight of 6 oncology infusion centers. She is also very active with her Alma Mater, Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 2003 and Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 2004. She is a member of the Alumni Council and participates in alumni sponsored events throughout the year. She has also just joined the speakers bureau for Incyte Corporation. Her proudest accomplishment is being a mom of 4 kids, 3 boys and 1 girl ages 11 to 5.
