Margaret Harville RCPht manages the prior authorization and patient assistance department for the Texas Oncology medically integrated pharmacies. She been a pharmacy technician working multiple disciplines since 1988 and started her oncology career in 2002 managing patient assistance programs. At that time most programs were still in conceptual phase or under development. She worked as a financial counselor, assisting oncology patients in meeting their financial needs so they could achieve timely access to therapy. Margaret has the knowledge, ability and compassionate disposition to negotiate and coordinate the often complex maze of available medical benefits and resources for cancer patients in need of financial assistance. She accurately communicates their specific needs to the medical team to make certain their medical requirements are covered by available programs. Margaret has been an effective advocate for her patients, ensuring that all eligible patients have access to essential, complex and often expensive oncology therapies.
