Pete Perron is the Senior Vice President and General Manager, Provider Services for McKesson Specialty Health (MSH), a business unit of the McKesson Corporation. In this role, Pete is responsible for the overall strategy, operations and execution of the business unit. The Provider Services Organization is committed to delivering a broad portfolio of solutions to help community-based providers thrive, including distribution capabilities, GPO Services and tools for improving efficiency, patient care, clinical support and profitability.
Pete brings tremendous leadership, credibility and over twenty-five years of healthcare experience in pharmaceutical and biotech sales, marketing and business development. Pete joined McKesson eleven years ago and has held roles of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as the Vice President and General Manager, GPO Services. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations and leading long-term strategicplanning for the company’s group purchasing organizations (GPOs), Onmark and Unity. Prior to that position, he was the Vice President of Multi-Specialty Sales. In that role, he led a sales and account management team who partnered with outpatient clinics and specialty pharmacies to maximize practice and business efficiencies.
Prior to this role, Pete served as the Vice President of Business Development for Informatics in the Manufacturer Solutions organization. Before joining McKesson, Pete spent 15 years in various sales, marketing and leadership roles in the pharmaceutical and biotech space. He holds BA and MS degrees in Interpersonal Communication Studies.
