Michelle Phillips Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Michelle is a clinical pharmacist with the University of Rochester Specialty Pharmacy in Rochester, NY. She practices in gastrointestinal and neuro-oncology in an ambulatory oncology clinic in an academic medical center. She is board certified in oncology. She completed her PGY1 residency at the University of Rochester in community pharmacy after graduating from pharmacy school at St. John Fisher University. Her interests include optimizing medication therapy, medication deprescribing, and side effect management.
Astrid Slaughter Pharmacy Area Manager After I finished pharmacy school I obtained a doctorate degree studying novel histone-modifying enzymes as new cancer drug targets and I was able to gain more insight during my postdoctoral fellowship at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. I have worked for 8 years at Texas Oncology now and was recently promoted from pharmacy manager to area pharmacy manager. I enjoy working with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians from all over the state and provide guidance to them. Caring for oncology patients means a lot to me and I would like to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible. Education is very important in the oncology field and I value every opportunity to participate
